We’re in the process of developing a new player at blip.tv and the design has gone through lots of iterations. One of first designs produced some really interesting iconography that will never see the light of day. 

I caught a lot of flack for the fullscreen and volume icons. The fullscreen spiral is actually an accurately scaled Fibonacci curve, but confused everyone. The volume icon too closely resembled a candy corn. Hopefully I’ll be able to put up images of old player designs when the new one is released.
